The Krewe de Riviere Parade Details

The parade will start at N 7th Street in West Monroe and will flow south towards Mill Street, eventually crossing the Lea Joyner Bridge into Monroe. What to Expect?

Additionally, the renowned Grambling State University Band will grace the parade with their musical talents, and the Louisiana LunaChicks will lead the Queen’s float.
One of the most exciting aspects of the Krewe de Riviere Parade is the abundance of throws. Over one million throws will be distributed during the event, with crowd favorites including light-up toys, trinkets, moon pies, decorated rubber ducks, and, of course, the classic beads!
Street Closures to Know
If you plan on attending the parade, be aware of the street closures that will be in effect to ensure safety and smooth operation. The following streets will close:
- At 3:30 p.m.: Travis St. and Riggs St. will close to N. 7th St.
- At 4:00 p.m.: N. 7th St. from Travis St. to Mill St. will be closed, along with Mill and N. 8th St. to the Lea Joyner Bridge.
- At 4:00 p.m.: Southbound traffic at N. 7th St. and Larche St. will also be stopped.
- At 4:00 p.m.: The Lea Joyner Bridge will close to all traffic.
All side streets intersecting with N. 7th St. and Mill St. along the parade route will be closed as well. These streets will reopen once the end of the parade crosses N. 7th and Stella St.
